Sonam is an Indian actress who appears in the Bollywood. Sonam kapoor was born in the suburb of chembur, Mumbai on 9 june 1985, to actor Anil kapoor and former model Sunita kapoor. The family moved to their house in Juhu, where her parents still reside, when she was a month old. Kapoor is the eldest of three kids. She has a sister, the promainsucer Rhea, and a brother, the actor Harshvardhan. She is the parental granddaughter of the filmmaker Surinder kapoor, and the niece of the manufacturer Boney kapoor and Sanjay kapoor. Her parental cousins are the actors Arjun kapoor and Mohit Marwah. She was schooled at the Arya vidya mandir school in juhu, following which enrolled at the united college of south east asia in Singapore for her pre- institution of higher education, where she study theater and arts.
Sonam kapoor made her acting debut in 2007 with Bhansali’s romantic drama Saawariya opposite Ranbir kapoor. However failed at the box office, kapoor’s performance earned her a nomination for the filmfare best womanly debut Award. She then feature in the supporting drama Delhli-6 (2009), and had her first commercial success with the romantic comedy I luv stories (2010). Kapoor garnered praise and earned several best actress nominations (including at filmfare) for portraying a leading role in the romantic drama Raanjhanaa(2013). She also feature in the well successful biographical sports movie Bhaag milkha bhaag(2013), and played a important role in the loving comedy Khoobsurat(2014).
