Sania Mirza is famous worldwide as a professional tennis player. She was born in 15th November, 1986 in Mumbai. She was awarded as India’s No 1 tennis player both in singles and doubles from 2003 to 2013 until her retirement.  Sania Mirza lives in Hyderabad and studied at St.Mary’s College.  She was professionally recognized from 2003. She is a right handed player. It has been more than 10 years from her first appearance, but still Sania Mirza bears the torch for women’s tennis. A recent study showed that Sania Mirza is not only the most successful female tennis player but also one of the most famous female athletes in India.

In Sania Mirza’s entire career, she has won many wins and awards. She has the highest rank in entire India with a career of 27th ranking in singles.

In the year of 2009, Mirza and her childhood friend Sohrab Mirza got engaged. But the wedding didn’t last long. Sania Mirza fall in love with Pakistan Cricketer Shoaib Malik and only after a year, she married him in customary Muslim way. Currently, Sania Mirza has become the brand ambassador for the Telangana, a state of India. At early life, Mirza’s coach was her father. Later on, she received training from Roger Anderson.

Sania Mirza is also praised for her social contributions. She has become the idol of millions of Indian women who now believe that women can also change the world. She has also started a tennis academy after her name which was launched in 2013. The aim of this institution is to provide the best tennis training to the interested players. Sania Mirza is also the foremost South Asian woman who was selected as a Goodwill Ambassador in history.
